You have kept me from me, and this is good. I was growing more and more distraught as my day was drawing to a close and you allowed me to ruin your shirt with my tears. You allowed me to grieve over him and never said a negative word.
I know I’ve said thank you, but that two syllable hyphenated word does not describe the amount of relief, trust, friendship and connection you give me willingly and without expectation.
You are incredible. Strong and quiet. Reserved and passionate.
Most notably, you are selfless.
Thank you for being my stitch. You’re helping me heal the fissure within.
